We are excited to offer this one family owned from new, 1968 Triumph 1300 S.C Saloon, presented in a highly original, “time-warp” condition throughout.

 

Supplied new by F.Mitchell Nottingham on the 26/06/1969 to Mr Clarence Hardy, this car would remain under his ownership, until the 23/06/1995, when he passed the car down to his son-in-law, Mr Alan Traynor. Following 20 years of ownership, Mr Traynor had no appropriate use for the car anymore and just wanted the car gone quickly, and therefore became stuck with the decision to either scrap the car or pass it on to his niece, the only person in the family willing to take it on. Fortunately for us, Mr Traynor had made the correct decision in gifting the car to his niece and her husband in 2017 who have cherished the car, having all the necessary works done during their ownership to keep it running as it did almost 60 years ago in the same family.

 

Nicknamed “Dolly” throughout the family’s ownership, this charming example has remain practically completely original as exhibited in the interior with the plastic door card covers from new still fitted, while Tan seats and carpets also remain in fantastic shape. The body work, still finished in its original paint from new in Valencia Blue, still holds up to standard well with the occasional blemish expected of a car its age, with no signs of welding anywhere throughout the body or underside. The car runs and drives exceptionally well following a recent gearbox rebuild and new fuel pipes during its last service.

 

It is also supplied with original sales receipt from F.Mitchell, as well as the manufacturers guarantee and the original logbook.
