We are excited to offer this charming 1927 Humber 9/20 saloon, presented here in a great condition throughout.

In 1925, Humber released its successor to the 8/18, the 9/20, as a new luxury small car. Powered by its cast-iron block, 1056cc inlet-over-exhaust, 4 cylinder engine, the Humber marked itself as the epitome of these “big stately cars made small” of the time.

 

This beautiful example was first registered 01/01/1927. The car spent relatively large portions of its life in Surrey, while also having spent time with enthusiasts further North, including in Leeds. During the early 1990s, it was subject to a body off restoration and has seen very little use since, other than competing in local rallies and shows. Under its current ownership for the last 2 years, it has spent its time displayed in a museum, and therefore presenting itself in an excellent condition inside and out. 

 

The car is accompanied by a large file of paperwork and history, including its buff and green logbooks, a large amount of old MOTs, invoices for all the restoration work carried out and V5C. It also comes with its original registration, PK5404.

 

This saloon is a great size, comfortably fitting 4 adults, and also includes the travel trunk for the all important pic-nic. This machine represents great value and is an affordable practical classic, eligible for many events.
