We are delighted to offer this exceptionally maintained, Japanese market, MG RV8 in Woodcote Green, with a black hood. These reincarnations of the MGB, fitted with the 3.9l Rover V8, were highly desired by the Japanese market, with some 75% of the manufactured leaving for the East, however since, they have been returning in brilliant conditions due to the less harsh road conditions over there. 

The MG offered here was repatriated in November of 2004 and is currently displaying 7700 miles, on top of the existing 22,000 miles on the old speedometer. This example has had 2 previous owners since its return, being purchased in 2024 by its current vendor. 

The car also features some upgrades fitted by its previous owners including: EZ power steering, Spa X shock absorbers, brand new hood (fitted by current owner), Optimax chip, mesh wind stop, DAB radio, and wooden steering wheel and gear knob (although the originals are still available with the car). 

In its time back in the country, it has been well serviced and maintained, with a substantial service history detailing everything, and has a valid MOT until July 2026. The history folder also includes some of the original manuals, original brochure, old MOTs, a few other RV8 books etc It also comes with its tonneau, MG tool roll, jack and handle, and tyre inflater.

In September 2019, this example was also featured in the Classic Car magazine as the “Dream Drive”, in a seven page article, and a copy is included in the history.
