1990 Honda VFR400R NC30

We are proud to offer this low mileage, genuine UK, Honda VFR400R NC30, presented in a very near-original and brilliant condition. Dubbed the “little brother” of the globally iconic RC30, the NC30 was almost identical in appearance, essentially being a scaled-down version, however still retaining its race-bred engineering, including the vicious V4.
 
Registered on 01/08/90, this example is a rare and much sought-after genuine UK model, in very near-original condition including the standard Honda exhaust system throughout. The only anomalies which are not original are the indicators which are not UK correct, and the number plate bracket has been slightly modified. The mileage is also very low at 14,497.
 
The bike runs just as Honda intended and the motor is beautifully smooth like a sewing machine at tick over before emitting that unmistakable V4 growl as the revs rise. The bike has been sat for the last 18 months, therefore at times it can be tricky to start currently, due to a combination of old fuel and lack of use. If it was to be ridden, it would likely need a change of fluids and possibly the carburettors cleaning out.
 
There are a few minor issues which could be easily rectified if the owner wishes, and if addressed would improve the bike to a near concourse standard. The first is a small white sticker that has been placed over a darker dealer sticker on the tailpiece. It may be that they would both come off with gentle heat. The second is an area around the LH mirror where the fairing appears to have developed a crack at some point. It looks like some repair work has been started but not painted. 
 

The bike is currently on SORN and does not have a current MOT. The last MOT expired on 31/08/22, however the owner is confident it would sail through a test, as all electrics also work as they should.

The current tyres fitted are Bridgestone Battlax BT090 and are in good condition but dated 2011 / 2012 so it would advised anyone intending to ride the bike, to replace them.

There is not a recent service history, however the owner had completed many nut and bolt restorations of Japanese and British classics, winning silverware at the Stafford International Classic Show with all of them, and therefore did all his own maintenance on his older bikes and has done fluids and filters and general maintenance as required. There are a few receipts for spares purchased. Due to the low use nothing more major was necessary.

There is also an excellent paddock stand suitable for single sided swinging arms that is included but it’s not an original Honda one.
